அப்படி அரசு ஏற்று நடத்தாமல் (அதாவது முழுவதும் அரசுடைமையாக்க படாமல்) வெறும் 2000 கோடி மட்டும் “தானமாக” அளிப்பது கண்டிப்பாக உறுத்தல் தான்.

அரசு துறையில், நீங்கள் பயன்படுத்தக்கூடிய ஒரு சேவைவை (உதாரணம் http://ncbc.nic.in/ ) வடிவமைக்கும் பொறியாளர் அரசு நிதியில் (உங்கள் வரிப்பணத்தில்) இருந்து மாதம் 14000 ரூபாய் சம்பளம் பெறும் போது எங்கோ அமெரிக்காவில் இருக்கும் ஒரு நிறுவனத்திற்கு மென்பொருள் எழுதுபவர் அதே அரசு நிதியில் (உங்களின் வரிப்பணத்திலிருந்து) 50,000 ஊதியம் பெறுவது நியாயமா

மற்றப்படி அரசு இந்த விஷயத்தில் தலையிட வேண்டும்.

Worldbank case is different. Huge corruption happened there across all department(not only IT. Others like food for oil program etc).They investigated all the departments and banned lots of companies, not only from india but from accross the world.
Due to satyam's current episode, clients needs to go away from satyam and look for other vendor.

What I want to mean is that if some of the crucial project got delayed due to this, it will get bad name to outsourcing. Now US president also against outsourcing and he brought left leaning nationalist (instead of pure capitalist) pogressive thinktanks for higher posiion.So it will be an added point to them.

They can not stop outsourcing. First of all, US doesn't have so much man power to bring back all outsourced work and most of the outsourced works are low end work.US companies has to cut cost to survive.
But it will give bad name and will have slight negative impact and it may have slight adv for american companies who has indian devt center(like accenture ibm, hp)

India as an outsourcing destination is not just a matter of Convenience. There are so many other factors. Only if India get the IT Services, many MNC companies can invest in India to take the Money back to USA. For instance Starting from Computer Sales, Electronic Gadgets to Cosmetics, MNC companies have to sell their products. They can't sell that in Bangladesh or Burma. They need Indian and Chinese "Mass" markets for their products.

GE or other US Company will outsource IT projects to India. Dell will take the Computer Sales money back to USA. This is a simple deal. If GE projects move to Say Bangladesh, DELL will not get a mass market like India for its computer sales. This is just an example. There are so many chain reactions to MNC companies if they cancel outsourcing to India. So, i don't believe anyone will stop outsourcing to India

இது மிகவும் சரியான செய்தி. முன்பெல்லாம் அமெரிக்காவில் இருக்கும் இன்போசிஸ் பொறியாளர்களின் பிராஜக்ட் முடிந்தால் ஒரு மாதம் வரை பென்ச்ல் வைத்து வேலை தேட விடுவார்கள்.ஏனென்றால் அவர்களுக்கு ப்ராஜெக்ட் கிடைக்கும் என்ற நம்பிக்கை இருந்தது. ஆனால் இப்போது பிராஜெக்ட் உடனடியாக கிடைக்காததால் பிராஜெக்ட் முடிந்த மறுநாளே இந்தியா அனுப்பி விடுகின்றனர். மேலும் அங்கு பிராஜெக்ட் இல்லதவர்களின் எண்ணிக்கை 30 சதத்தை தாண்டி உள்ளது.எனவே சிலருக்கு 1 வருடம் பாதி சம்பளத்துடன் விடுமுறை அளிக்களாமா என்று யோசித்து வருகின்றனர்.

அது மட்டுமன்றி இன்னொரு பிரச்சனையும் உள்ளது. சத்யத்தின் clientகளை இன்போசிஸ் போன்ற கம்பெனிகள் இழுத்து தங்கள் கம்பெனியில் உள்ள 30% பிராஜெக்ட் இன்றி இருப்பவர்களையும், புதிதாக வேலைக்கு எடுத்த டிரெய்னிகளையும், தற்போது அந்த பிராஜெக்ட்ல் இருக்கும் ஒருசில முக்கியமான சத்யம் பொறியளர்களை மட்டும் வேணுமானால் எடுத்து கொண்டு, மற்றவர்களை கழட்டு விட்டு பிரஜெக்ட் முடித்துவிட வாய்ப்புகள் அதிகம். அப்படி நடந்தால், தற்போது மார்கெட் மோசமான நிலையில் இருப்பதால் சத்யம் பொறியாளர்களுக்கு மிகவும் கடினமாக இருக்கும். இந்த நிலை ஏற்படுவதை தடுப்பது அரசின் முக்கிய கடமை. இதற்கு ஒரே வழி, அரசின் முயற்ச்சியால் கம்பெனியை மற்றொரு கம்பெனியுடன் இணைப்பது தான். அதற்கு அரசு வேண்டுமானல் நீண்ட கால கடனாக, குறைந்த வட்டியில் கடன் கொடுத்து, அதற்கு பதில் lay off செய்வதை தவிர்க்க ஒப்பந்தம் போட்டு கொள்ளலாம் .

இந்த பிரச்சனையின் இன்னொரு முக்கிய பரிமாணம் பற்றி யாரும் பேசவே இல்லை. சத்யத்தின் இந்த பிரச்சனையால் அதன் எதாவது ஒரு பெரிய client, சத்யத்தின் பிராஜெக்ட்களை வேறு கம்பெனிக்கு உடனடியாக மாற்றி, அதன் transitionல் எதாவது சிக்கல் ஏற்பட்டு பிராஜெக்ட் தாமதமானால்(நிச்சயம் அவ்வாறு நடக்கும் ), இதையே ஒரு பெரிய காரணமாக anti outsourcing lobby அமெரிக்கா மற்றும் உலகமெங்கும் பெரிய publicity கொடுப்பார்கள். ஒட்டு மொத்த media அதை பெரிய பிரச்சனையாக்கும் . தற்போது அமெரிக்காவில் வேலை இழப்பு அதிகரித்திருப்பதால், அந்த செய்திக்கு அதிக publicity கிடைக்கும். அதன் விளைவாக பிற்கால outsourcing project கிடைப்பதும் கடினமாகி விடும்.

You have initiated a correct and topical debate but brought unnecessary comparisons like a politician.Each issue/crisis should be resolved considering the eco system at that time.

Bail out is a very loose term.. it implies only a helping hand to a drowning business. The modalities of such help may vary from soft loans,deferred tax payments etc to money disbursement. Nobody in Govt. seems to be talking of donating Rs..2000 cr on a platter.It is quite plausible, if YSR is also involved, and your objection is valid.

Helping out Satyam is not only for its employees welfare but also to retain the IT/BPO pie for India. If business continuity is not ensured for its clients, it will cast a shadow on Indian credibility. The brand name of Satyam might have gone, but the credibility of Indian Government will be at stake. Regulating agencies are also partly responsible, being passive to the fraud taking place.

இந்த இடுகையிலும், முந்தைய இடுகையிலும் பின்னூட்டம் எழுதிய சிலர் நான் என்னவோ சத்யம் நிறுவனத்தின் ஊழியர்கள் எல்லாம் வேலையை விட்டு நீக்கப்பட வேண்டும் என்ற எண்ணத்தில் எழுதியதாக நினைக்கிறார்கள். அவ்வாறான எண்ணம் எனக்கு இல்லை. சத்யம் நிறுவனத்தில் எனக்கு பல நண்பர்கள் இருக்கிறார்கள். சிலர் வேலையை இழப்பதாலும், அவர்களின் பொருளாதாரம் நசிந்து போவதாலும் யாருக்கும் எந்த நன்மையும் இல்லை. அதை நான் எதிர்பார்க்கவும் இல்லை. வேலை இழப்பின் உளவியல், பொருளாதார பிரச்சனைகளை நான் அறிவேன்.

ஆனால் ஐடி துறையில் உள்ளவர்கள் தங்களை சுயவிமர்சனம் செய்து கொள்ள வேண்டும். தற்பொழுது அலறுபவர்கள் கடந்த காலங்களில் நடந்த பல சமூக நிகழ்வுகளில் என்ன மாதிரியான நிலைப்பாட்டினை கொண்டிருந்தார்கள் என்பதை ஒரு முறை திரும்பிப் பார்க்க வேண்டும்.

எனக்கு அறிவு இருக்கிறது, அதனால் சம்பளம் அதிகம் கொடுக்கிறார்கள் என இருமாப்புடன் இருந்தவர்கள் தான் ஐடி துறையினர். இப்பொழுது என்ன சொல்வார்கள் என்பது தான் எனது கேள்வி ?

Satyam's brand name has lost its reputation. It is impossible to repair the damage in the current circumstances. Many Clients are planning to close Satyam Accounts.

In USA Insurance companies are rejecting Medical benefits for Satyam employees. It will be difficult in USA without Medical benefits (especially families).

In this situation bailout of Satyam will not help. It will waste Government Resources.

If Satyam is merged with Infosys or TCS it will give relief to its employees.

The Government should negotiate with Companies like Infosys and TCS to take over Satyam.
Afterall Narayanmurthy was once projected as Mr.Clean who has social concerns and credentials to become the president of India.
When he has huge profit i believe Mr.Clean will Let go few crores for the sake of 50,000 employees

Other companies like TCS, Infy are not interested in Satyam's employees. They are poaching for satyam business. There is nothing wrong with the Government trying to save the company and protect its employees. Satyam will repay whatever short term loan it gets from banks or government. The new board of directors have already said receivables is very positive. So repayment of the loans will not be an issue. There is nothing wrong in saving a business which is viable and capable of living if helped in short term. Only when you face layoff or some serious trouble (financial or health or death of your very loved ones) yourself, you will realize. Put yourself in Satyam employees shoes and think for few minutes how they feel now. There is no difference between you and people like Narayana Murthy. If you would have given some ideas about saving lives of 50000+ people I would have appreciated. Please write responsibly.
